The scenario is this: you have a run-of-the-mill PC and you want to play a resource-hungry game. If you want the game to run smoothly, you must shut down all unnecessary applications and optimize the system for optimum performance. You could do that manually, or you could let Game Fire prep your PC for a fun gaming session. This application closes unnecessary applications, applies various tweaks, disables unnecessary functions, and sets everything up so you’ll have an enjoyable gaming experience.

The system requirements for running Game Fire are: at least 512MB of RAM; 1GHz processor or better; 10MB of free disk space; Microsoft Windows operating system (Windows XP SP 3 and newer). Modern and even older PCs will have no problems meeting these system requirements. And thanks to a simple setup wizard, you won’t have any problems installing Game Fire on a PC that meets these system requirements.

This is where I have to tell you that Game Fire is available as a Free and as a Professional Edition. The setup wizard for the Free Edition will present offers to install additional software on your PC; the setup wizard will for the Pro Edition will not. Furthermore, Game Fire Professional provides full support for 64-bit Windows versions, comes bundled with the source code, and is available as a portable version.

Game Fire’s Game Adviser diagnoses and tweaks system settings so that you can enjoy a better gaming experience. It helps you apply system tweaks, internet tweaks, applications tweaks, and visual effects tweaks.

Before you can switch to Gaming Mode, you must set up a Gaming Profile. When you set one up, you can specify hardware limitations, visual effects limitations, disable unnecessary Windows functions, suspend security features, change the power plan, and disable Windows Explorer features.

From the Settings menu you can play with lots of options that dictate how Game Fire works. Things like: launch Game Fire at startup, defrag system memory to free up computer resources, automatically check for updates, enable Aggressive or Balance Live Gaming mode, and more.

From Game Fire’s interface you can view your system’s status (CPU usage, CPU temperature, memory usage, and so on), you can set up a list of games so you can easily launch one, you can view a list of running applications and processes, you can defrag a game to speed up its loading and running, and you can access multiple Windows tools.

As mentioned above, Game Fire is available as a Free and as a Professional Edition. To see what extras the Professional Edition has to offer, you can click the Upgrade button from the lower left hand corner on the interface, you can select Upgrade to Pro from the Help menu which is located in the upper right hand corner on the interface, or you can simply close the Game Fire Free application. Every time you close the application, a prompt will show up and invite you to upgrade to Game Fire Professional.

If you need to optimize your PC, squeeze as much performance as you can from it and thus have an enjoyable gaming experience, then you’re very well advised to give Game Fire a try. This tool was purpose-built to prep your PC for games.
